Duterte to offer CCP the 4 Cabinet posts

Presumptive President Rodrigo Duterte said that he will offer the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to the Communist Party of the Philippines (CCP) while he named some of his candidates for the Cabinet posts.

The act would probably be contradicted by big business owners and industry.

“I can concede the DAR, DENR, DOLE, and DSWD to the communist party if they want… They are the most vigilant group in the Philippines about labor so they would get it. Those are the only departments I can concede to them. Maganda na yan,” said Duterte on one of his formal news conference.

Also during the same conference the presumptive President opened the reports that Jose Maria (Joma) Sison, founder of CCP is returning to the country. “Yes, he is welcome. I am happy with the statement that he is coming home. I would very much want to talk to him about resolving the insurgency problem,” Duterte answered when asked about his comment about Sison’s return from exile.

The incoming President vowed to not begrudge the NPAs (communist New People’s Army) and said to offer his hand in peace by the means of talk.
